just seems like he wanted to start talking about dubstep in an interview but couldn't remember enough to call it dubstep, until he was corrected by the interviewer... and "oh yeah, well I meant dubstep but I say dub-bass"

wouldn't question the fact that he inspired nuff uk heads tho

TYPICAL DUBSTEPFORUM DRAMA MONGERING

DID ANY OF YOU ACTUALLY READ THE ARTICLE ??? It's yellow journalism at its finest ...

if you have at least 4-5 brain cells in your head left you weould realize that he never says "I created dubstep" . in fact the only place those words exist is in the title, where the author put them. with quotes around them. even tho timbaland never said them.

I am not defending Timbaland, I was never a huge fan of his, but i knew after reading this article a few days ago that Dubstepforum would pick up on it and a 10 page thread would ensue where everyone rags on Timbaland without even comprehending the article . Nowhere in there does he say he created dubstep. He says he likes how people started doing things in a similar style to what he was doing years ago and putting new twists on it. he never says he created dubstep.

yup. he says he LIKES DUBSTEP!!!!!!!!!! THATS THE HEADLINE!

fucking internet music journalism in 2010, utter waste bullshit. (THE WRITER USES COS. COS? wtf. cause. who is writing that crap? thats some fucking bootleg ass english shit to do. lol... srsly, am i to believe timbaland is putting on a london street dialect? or that everything the writer hears just sounds like that, even a southern us twang? lol)

such a asshole headline to put. fucking fix up rwd.

dude says that his people in the UK always tell him he started dubstep, which im sure quite a few people tell him... he says its that style he calls dub bass , and that people are rocking it and adding bass in their own ways, doing their own dances and that HE LIKES IT..

hes a beat maker, not a genre tnuc, fuck off with your "dubstep" drama, what Timbaland said in that article makes perfect sense and shows a general understanding & appreciation for the music... which is actually a BETTER attitude than hes had in the past...

lol @ the article. he kind of came off like a douche... but if you listen to a lot of the songs he's produced, and subtract the shit rapping/singing, there's a lot of bangers there...
Cmon now we all know Rusko created dubstep
what's that saying about how if enough people believe it, it's true? ;p

big laughs for anyone who didn't take with "interview" with a grain of salt

not really into the stuff timbo has put out or produced on in the last 4-5 years but his 90's and alot of his early millenium stuff is wicked

“Yeah, dubstep... ...It’s funny cos they went back to some of my old music that really created that sound..."
Sorta seems like he's implying it to me.

That being said...timbo has made a lot of good tracks. A lot. Can't discredit him as a producer. Although it is sad to see producers completely cutting + pasting melodies from other tracks for productions of their own in order to cash in on it.

As for the dubstep drama..don't really care.
