But there's strong representation & musical tradition in Dubstep from the Muslim community, and if what I was told is true it seems a shame that he can't find an outlet for his talent- especially since he was well on his way here with the deep, epic, worldly half-step sounds of Glimpse of Truth & Stranded.

After all that I ended up having a conversation with him on MySpace- he asked for some examples of Dubstep he might like so I pointed him to the more worldly-influenced tracks like Pinch's Alien Tongue & Qawwali, Luke Envoy, Distance's early Hindustani-sampling affairs, L-Wiz, Geiom & Gravious.....

but i'm sure tons of dnb fanboys have found and bugged him on myspaz telling him zomg we need more dnb wheres kemal/konflict etc

Mayhem is definitely killing it! i'm really feeling Punks by Juju & some of Skynet's stuff as well. i've heard some rumors of some other dnb producers doing dubstep... i'm definitely anxious to hear some of them (such as SPL).

kemal put out some wicked stuff since too, and i heard rob data has become a postman now or something...

makes me sad that such great producers turn their backs on things just cos a lot of dnb these days has lost the soul it used to have. the big tunes have lost it, the crowds have lost it, but it's still there in some places u just have to dig deep...
