I wouldn't really class that as 4x4.

Anti-war dub on the flip is the paradigm 4x4 dubstep example.

i got a 4x4 dub tune pon the myspace called "Tubz Dub". works well with a dubstep set, check it out:

www.myspace.com/tobydavies

Plus check my Ranking Records co-producer Ruckspin's tune "4 feet from the floor": www.myspace.com/mrruckspin

not really sure about this thread as 4/4 to me means four beats in a bar i.e the majority of dance music, and there are a few tunes posted (like haunted) that aren't strictly 4 on the floor...

Yeah it's a bit difficult. Dubstep is almost exclusively in 4/4 time. But from what I understand we are talking here about '4x4', meaning a bass kick on all four crotchet beats in the bar. (or at least that kind of feel).

another issue confusing matters is that speed garage aka niche aka bassline house(?) is sometimes refered to as 4x4.

I don't really know, but I definitely wouldn't consider 'haunted' to be in anyway 4x4 even though it is in 4/4 time.

savvy?

Bumping an old thread I'm sorry but,

Is Morph classed as Dubstep or 4x4?
