The dream cast is by far one of my fab consoles, it's a shame that sega pulled the plug on it. It had some amazing titles; shenmue, jet set radio, soul caliber just to name a few. The xbox. Almost see. To be a direct port of it when it was launched. I recently bought the new xbox, I wonder how long it will be before the next gen of consoles is released?

Forgot to mention California games on the mega drive as one of my fav fames also. Like the earliest extreme sports game. It was ruff! The first mmorpg I ever played phantasy star online! Yeah the dreamcast was a great console. Fur fighters, that was a good game also.

When I was growing up we didn't have any nintendo systems, the only system I had was the Genesis and I played the living shit out of it. All the Sonic games were legendary (and that Sonic and Knuckles add on thing? shiiiiit), Cool Spot was awesome, I really loved the Tiny Toon Adventures Game (not the sport one the side scroller), Streets of Rage/Golden Axe were awesome, the Taz game was the shit (and really weird), etc etc. Sega was DEFINITELY always ahead of the game. Compare Sega to the SNES, or Dreamcast to the PS1 and it's a joke. It's tragic they don't put out systems anymore, they were always like a generation ahead

Thats the whole reason they flopped, people wasn't' ready! Dreamcast even had facking online play! That was in like what, 98/99? They've only JUST dabbled into that proper for consoles.
Also, speaking of Dreamcast, Crazy Taxi anyone!?

The dreamcast brought the power of the arcade into your living room, online play was dope as well, I was surprised to see just how much content was available for games.
Tax on the mega drive, really good, and weird.... I never completed it, there was this stage where your in a mine car and u have to avoid shit, and make big jumps, never ever could make this jump and I mean I tried for months..... I think I went and got a she's because of that.

but ps1 had even more than N64...
aside from the complicated past Dreamcast had when being brought out,
I think Dreamcast had the problem that it was ahead of it's time for a bit but then got left behind when the PS2 and XBox came out (even though it was far superior to the XBox in terms of its games). Which made people not bother with it.
Anyone claiming they aren't good consoles is a fucking idiot overall though. It had some awesome Arcade conversions (some of the best any console has managed outside of the Neo Geo AES as far as I'm concerned) and in addition to that just some great games as well (including Resident evil code veronica which I'm playing all the time, It's on the floor next to me, in fact plus also load of beat em ups kicked ass on dreamcast too).

go back now, dreamcast had so many sleepers that were never marketed on the scale of n64 games
