What does anyone else reckon? Because as I see it, this more than any other track was the beginning of jungle's break-editing...


(of course the cut-up was actually done on the Meat Beat Manifesto beat that this samples, but this was the first to apply it in the hardcore context)

After jungle he was very involved in UK Garage as Mark 'Ruff' Ryder - that wasn't really my thing, so I couldn't tell you how good the tunes were.

Hackney Hardcore were fucking awesome! Mark Ryder was a legend, Strictly Underground/Jungle Mania Records released some of the best tunes of all time.

Shame some of the Jungle Mania's never got pressed. Lost gold.
