one of my fav early mixes is plasticman's filthy dub promo cd from 2003, great mix of early 'wot do u call it' grime and dubstep. GET ON THAT
this thread is about posting tunes, not talking about them :)

the wiggle baron wrote:Well, after seeing the thread of the link to whatever blog it was where the guy basically spent a few pages ranting about how dubstep = fart noises, my initial reaction was of course one that can be summarised by the word "tnuc". But after (slightly) more thinking, I remembered that he's right. I challenge anyone to try and listen to every release on the first page of chemical records (or any big dubstep outlet) without wanting to a shed a tear for a lost genre. He's right, its all mindless, shit, pointless, mid-range robofart basslines (thank you corpsey...) which as painful as it is, constitutes probably 90% of what gets played out, in this country at least.
Im sorry but i strongly disagree.

Theres so much great dubstep out there, and from what ive done with producing, you can hardly call it mindless.

i will agment there are some out there that really does suck, but you cant say 90% of it man.... unless you country really sucks that bad, in that case, i feel for yah man.

but honstely, it taken alot of thought, trial and error, creativity, experimentation, and imagination, to create some of the great dubstep in the world, and you gotta recognize and not disrespect it by sayin 90% is a bunch of " mid-range robofarts "

i feel like you only read the first part of the OP... you need to read the whole thing he wrote before you trip out. he went on to say that dubstep is filled with amazing songs, but you have to search for them... this has become a thread filled with tons of great tunes, take your beef elsewhere please

You would miss out on some tunes :D, playlists can only have 200 songs no?
Most of them are in my favourites though, quite rightly :Q:

Here's 3 noteworthy 12"s from my collection that have been my favourite at some point or another. (Sunset Dub/9 Samurai remix will always been my #1 though. :e: )
