kinda proving my point. One of these artists is from the US.

Nitpicking on peoples taste in music is a fairly sad waste of time.

i wasn't disagreeing with your point. people here catch on to shitty dubstep that they hear elsewhere and it becomes popularized here oftentimes more than the artists' home countries.

+1

anyone remember which youtube video in which he feels compelled to troll for sympathy after a bunch of people make fun of how he looks?
(in the comments section...not an actual video)

pretty funny stuff...esp since i think what people dislike about his appearance is his hair glasses and piercings and he could change those pretty easy if it really bothered him...

I think i've heard one tune i like from Skrillex. He's got a very punchable face but why are there so many DMZ fan boys on this site?? i know they make good tunes but seriously some of you need 2 take that big fat cock outta ya mouths. Almost as bad as the Andy C cock sucking that goes on dnbforum

Where the fuck is Mala? Sort this shit out.
why do people have to invoke mala in every one of these threads? if you don't like it then move on and listen to something else. dubstep doesn't want, need, or deserve saving. no musical genre needs to be protected however much you love it and it's never going to have a positive effect. if any musical genre destined to go down the toilet then it will no matter how many words a load of diehard dubstep fans on an internet forum waste on it. if history has taught us anything then protectionism is an utter waste of time - not to mention tiresome as fuck

I saw this and had to address it....

If you can't put forth good reasoning as to why both are "garbageeeeeeee" .. then don't say anything. I'm sitting here thinking...why are they garbage? They're not. And he didn't try to "cash in" on anything. People make music because they like it, ie, the people on this forum. And the successful ones are called out for "cashing in" on it? And if he's bringing some sort of fan base with him, then who cares...? Good for them, they'll buy his music, and then what? It shouldn't affect anyone on this forum. People on here really piss me off sometimes because they think someone sucks because they're becoming successful, while the poster is just someone who will most likely never amount to them and might even be jealous. *note that both of those are what-if's and not statements* .. If you have no reason as to why they're garbage, or criticism, or general positivity to say...then you're wasting your time. This happens way too often on here. People need to grow up and be more mature. I'm 16, and my response is second nature. Most people on here are in their 20's. It's sad.

This is why dubstep "is the new punk", not because of the moshing.

well, to be fair they are; and he probably is, although that latter part is something only he can know. his music sounds like horrible screeching noise to me but then so does most of that side of dubstep. there's clearly a big market for it though so fair play to him for finding his place in it
victor w wrote:might even be jealous.
very weak argument. classic "hater" logic when in reality people don't like it because it's not very good
