again, did the thread title say dear hackman? yes or no? i didn't even write the article, so while you're having your self absorbed tantrum, remember that this forum is for discussion. i haven't made this personal, you did.

what seckle has so grossly missed
is that although the conspiracy theorists he is referring to with op (which i don't categorise myself under although he probably does) and him are complete opposite ends of the spectrum beliefs wise
mentality wise they are exactly the same

sick

I dont understand why the religion thread got locked. sure people were posting stuff on there saying all religion is false, but at the end of the day they are just opinions.... why should it be any different from someone insisting the world was created in seven days? this is coming from someone who was raised, and still to some point is religious....

didnt have much net access at time so didnt get involved, but looking back i cant see why it got locked really?

furthermore, that 3 year old religion rule that you're trying so badly to defend your opinion was agreed to by 8 moderators, so go back the square one with the accusations.

oh and as for conspiracy theories

questioning what is told to you is better than taking at face value. i think a lot of conspiracy theorists dont analyse evidence properly: but at least they are analysing evidence as oppose to taking everything that is handed to them by governements and the media and assuming it to be true. i think the whole wikileaks thing has opened a lot of peoples eyes in realising that the governments (whilst probably not being reptiles) do certainly cover a lot up.

i think he's saying the lock came because making threads directly about religion is against the rules of the forum which were made three years ago and agreed upon by 8 moderators.

making threads to do with theories regarding conspiracy theorists doesn't seem to break any of those rules...

that is all

there's no doubting that the governments of the world are involved in so much darkness. the problem is the culture thats developed via the internet, of people getting absorbed in false or trumped up evidence. its a cult like culture, you know lead by example. i believe its true, and so do all these people so, hey, we're all in this together.

totally ridiculous, and as the article says, goes against logic.

reistance to falsification is the killer imo

nothing wrong with questioning shit, i question stuff constantly, but i also question conspiracy theories and if I come across some proof that discredits that conspiracy theory then I acknowledge it, I dont work around it.

:z:

what i do is when i start forming some kind of belief, i read something that posits the polar opposite view, and see what survives.
constant evolution (and more often than not, confusion -w- ), but imo its better than getting sucked into believing something because one wants it to be true.

the definition of paranoia is also closely associated with schizophrenia.

i have to agree with others in that the definition of it as a "disorder" or something to treat, is misguided and out of date. there's still so much that we don't know about the brain and nervous system.

i'd agree with that generally, the original post is a bit of a obvious snipe though really. So many people have those traits its stupid to apply them to conspiracy theorists.

Also, religions + conspirisys? Difference?
