the physics and game play are untouchable dude seriously sick game.

<< just wish it had more online modes
and how long does one copy of COD last ? 12 months? 6 months? ... i've been playing TF2 for 3 years and still not completed it

useful trick if you're into super nintendo/nes sounds:
most emulators will let you turn individual sound channels on or off, so if you want a specific sound from a game, it's really easy to simply turn off all the sound channels save one and record the audio output into audacity. I got a lot of cool NES riffs this way, as well as lots of dope synth pads from super metroid.
I spent a lot of time recording the sound effects from street fighter 2 in mame and then someone here posted a sample pack here with the same sounds

tf2 as in Team Fortress 2 its a sick game and it's fun. each character has there own funny dialogue or "catch phrases" if you will.

Sorry for the tangent here, but have you guys seen "Monday Night Combat" on steam, that borrows pretty heavily from tf2 and looks pretty jokes.

i like your trick does this mean you can trigger the sounds yourself? like say mario,, and the coin box sound is soloed so i can go and jump at it and record my beats like that... or something like that??
+Street fighter!! Forgot about the competition they had, where capcom upped there SF2 samples and promoted on a picture vinly or something... missed it
p.s DOOM was the best fps! *EDIT:* i feel so old

depends on the sound channels... i know lots of nes games have more than one thing on a channel, or sounds made up of more than one channel playing at the same time, but it's still a useful way to grab sounds. it works really well with ZSNES. you could probably grab the mario coinbox sound though.
and yes, doom IS the best FPS. So much fun. games today hold your hand too much, they all feel like really long tutorials with lame, hackneyed stories thrown in. maybe i'm just old, but i feel like newer games just sort of tell you what to do and don't really let you be creative or make you think.

its the japanese/RPG influence really, no one wants to play a game unless it plays like a hollywood blockbuster and has 3,000 cutscenes.

sound FX from Megaman 2.
also if you get hold of game soundtracks for older games, theres often one really long track at the end which will just be all the SFX played one after the other.

It is neccessary of samples that I've extracted from video games and used in my songs to be cleared in order to prevent the violation of copyright laws?

Has anyone tried making a dubstep tune using only game samples?
I'm a machinima.com partner so I'm interested in giving this a shot
