When I first started mixing it was great because it gave me a starting point when trying to figure out what songs to mix when in a jam. I got tired of labeling tracks so I stopped. I now just recklessly mix in my room to find what sounds right, practice makes perfect

exactly nothing wrong with playing records to yourself, kids these days want an easy fix for everything

Mix in key alot since house music days and know alot of people who do, makes a big difference and is quite easy to figure out.

i've got mixed in key and have used it for a while. i think it really takes the heart of mixing. It's good, it works and some mixes can come out great, but it's a bit stupid to primarily arrange your songs/ your mixes in order of key. i think it was a program which was made at the beginning specifically for house djs and i think that still rings q true.

Yep agree, horses for courses, just do it every now and again but like you said some dont always work that well.

A lot of house and even trance songs start off with like 8 or 16 bars of just drums, nothing melodic so they don't have to bother worrying about key clashes, at least from what I'm seeing. I think at this point it's way more useful for D&B and Dubstep DJs.
