There's some things the Bible says about creation, but there's a lot of things it doesn't. If you listen to science as well and see that evolution is based on a lot of good research, rejecting it is illogical... if God created the universe, the Earth, and you, he probably had the wherewithal to create evolution. I'll reiterate, there's a LOT of things the Bible doesn't expound on as far as the beginning. If you want to get technical, God created animals before he created man... make of that what you will. And there's a lot of Christian experts who think the story of Adam and Eve is more metaphor than history.

But the Bible itself was written by man, even the most devout of Christians understand that. It was not written by God, it was not written by Jesus, it was written by men. I think it's foolish to say that what is in the bible is 100% the voice of God and what God did because as we all know man will distort even the most profound of truths to fit their agenda. We don't really know what God did either way, because there's no way to see it without seeing it through the lens of the men who wrote it. The only way to know "God" is to experience it, just like someone previously said how you don't know something by doing research on it, you can only truly know it by experiencing it. you might've been an atheist at some point, but clearly not for the right reasons... We believe the Bible was breathed (inspired directly) by God. No disrespect. But when people start to say "Oh this is just a metaphor for that, thats why it doesn't actually make much sense." it just seems a bit desperate to justify things which science/evolution can prove are false now (IMO).
