funnily enough, i was listening to james blake when i entered this thread lol
Oh come on Mala is iconic dubstep. Whether he likes it or not he produced within that specific kind of sound.wfg1 wrote: its a bit like mala, he wouldn't exactly class himself as a dubstep artist, but he's one of the pioneers of the sound (obviously not blake but you know what i mean)
he doesn't though does he? thats the point i'm makingAllNightDayDream wrote:Oh come on Mala is iconic dubstep. but... he does. As far as I've heard, he hasn't made anything outside the confines of classic dubstep. It's a bit silly to say he's not a dubstep producer.wfg1 wrote:he doesn't though does he? thats the point i'm makingAllNightDayDream wrote:Oh come on Mala is iconic dubstep. My only point is that it's silly for mala to say he isn't exactly a dubstep producer, when that is exactly what he is. Some of the things he says/does annoy me.Pistonsbeneath wrote:you seem to have missed the point completelyAllNightDayDream wrote:but... he does. Yeah i think hes definitely a Dubstep producer with a lot of dub/reggae influencesAllNightDayDream wrote:@dubfreak: Yeah i've seen his interviews. I understand that he doesn't like genres and such, but when you actually listen to his tunes I find it hard to believe you can't hear they all come from the same mold.

Are you for real ?AllNightDayDream wrote:@ pistons: when you assume, you make an ass out of u and me. He just comes off very pretentious (hipster) to me sometimes. Especially the fact he won't release stuff digitally. So much for digital mystikz.
And I guarantee some of my views may be more left than his.

lol it's funny as soon as someone criticizes any of the old heads you get this kind of reaction.
