Watched it a couple of days ago, there are some pretty interesting things they talk about. Had a laugh too.

Just finished this one!

Quite an interesting book that goes in depth to explain the way sound in movies (and in general) works on the human mind. Learned a fair bit of interesting information!

If you have it on your to-read list, then definitely read it, you won't regret it.

Yeah, it's definitely a good book. Goes into detail about frequency and temporal masking, how emotion is conveyed through sound and music, sound spotting, how sound helps the narrative and believability, a technique here and there (like pitching down biting an apple, or breathing), different exercises and a lot of stories from different sound designers.

Sounds like a really good read, exactly the type of stuff I'm looking for. I assume sound design techniques are only a small part of the book, right? Which is good as the Sound Effect Bible has alot this, no need for 2 books which are the almost the same.

There are techniques in it, but I wouldn't classify it as a sound creation manual. It's definitely a bit different to what I expected when I delved into it! But very good nonetheless!

Mainly looking for an interesting read, doesn't have to be a sound creation manual, so it's all good as I have Sound effects bible for that :) Cheers man!
