Eh, I'm watching 24 on repeat until the 48hr production contest timeframe starts, then might give that a crack

I`m going straight home to work on the 48hr contest.
It`s monday night so my wife watches private practice, brothers and sisters, and such crap.

I'm never really too sure about my ability to put a tune together that I'm happy with inside of 48hrs. I mean, fair enough getting a basic structure together, but it'd need to be an idea (almost a gimmick) that I was happy with. Not sure how easy it'd be to come up with an idea inside of 48hrs etc etc and process it correctly, unless I went down the experimental pathway and tried something really off the wall.
Was reading an interview with Lynx earlier, so something like a Disco Dodo style off the wall thing could be an idea. I'm trying to formulate ideas whilst I'm sat here, lol.

well if you remember my track from the last 48hr contest, it was very experimental in terms of my final product.
I focused more on the bigger picture over individual elements.

That's fair enough, although I don't recall specifically your track from the last contest if I'm being honest.
I think I'm over analysing my need for a hook element before I can launch into the project tbh

Spent most of the weekend doing a remix for some indie band... realised that by urban the mean hip-hop not purple, and now I have a sick remix that has to stay private, and a whole remix to do again. It's never the same the second time round....
Aside from that I'm spending the last 2 weeks before I move to uni finding out if it is possible to actually get internet pussy, thats what I did most of the weekend... Mainly because after the downpayment on my flat i can't afford to go out.

bummed I missed this thread, I would have gladly contributed. (perhaps next weekend)
I finished a remix over the weekend and dropped it in the club on Sat night
it went over well, a little too much limiting on the mixdown but that's an easy fix
if you wanna check it you can listen

Every day is a production day for me.
But extended weekend = extra time to produce for most peeps.

Made my first track in Reaper that I'm happy with dunno about the quality of the file/conversion though

Ive been working on a track most of this weekend, also went on a picnic with family and sat on hill that supposedly a giant lived on and was then chucking bolders at another giant on st.michael's mount which can been seen from the hill I was sat on.
Good old cornish legends
