Had a heavy night, though there was still a good few hours worth of skank left in me.
Special biggups to lady of the hour farrah, roguestar, reso, obIwan, dozer and whistla (good luck today mate).
Damn straight on the sound, my ears are still ringing (5pm!).
Lovin the cheap beers, 2pund30 pint of guiness in a plastic cup. Boom!
I promised farrah and rogustar a bit of a rant so here goes. Tubby`s set was very, very *meh*. Newham generals were an unrequired commodity. I said this to peeps last night but it`s true, the night was called `Dubstep Changed My Life`, not `Dubstep Changed My Life Via The Medium of Grime`. Dubstep is all about beats, it`s not about mc`s trying to take control of it, it`s about flowing with it and stepping in when it LETS you. Not only did they spit waaaay too much but also the sound wasn`t suited to their style, all it did was hurt my ears, straight up drove me off the dancefloor.*rant over*
After that it was blessed to have Mala come on and rip it as dubstep should be and Poax give a lesson on how to touch the beats. Absolutely smashin it set, the way Mala makes a mix such a journey never ceases to amaze me.
Reso and Rusko heated the night up big time. Played banger after banger and clearly loved every minute of it, it always heavy to see dj`s shocking out as much as the next man. Props to all the dj`s playing but before these guys came up it was looking something like a high school prom. Shackleton has skills both in terms of production and dj`ing but his tunes just aren`t dancefloor material.
Sorry that i missed out on Boomnoise`s set, would`ve liked to see what he brings. Still, got to see the man bless mic.
Despite any negative comments i made this was overall a heavy night and i look forward to there being more in the future. Naisu Wun.

Generals murked, what you undah? D&G is united under one roof guv?!
Only reason I'm saying is that between Mala and Resob2bRusko you already had dubstep locked and Newham G's were over beats that don't get played unless by Tubby like that one with the crazy skank that speeds up at the end of each verse with the snare roll, so it brings something else unique into scenario! Trus a lot of people like grime and don't mind about the dubstep as well as vice versa, not me tho 50/50
I heard Reso talking about King size twix outside as well!
Rusko, I wanted to big you up as well but that lady was chatting to you who thought I was you!

hold tight on the recordings... have just surfaced from my flu stained bed

sets need trimming up cus of the couple of breaks in the stream then I'll start uploading them.
If someone orders a chinese to my flat and a large bottle of coke I'll upload them tonight
Big up boom on what was an awesome night - pure vibes/engery from the minute the night kicked off! for those that missed boomnoise's set, you have a treat in store on the archives!!! Nice one Rod Azlan on the mic too
Big up deapoh (my Mum's favourite) and Ben UFO, top set - as were the serato technials before Shackleton started

no one would believe me on the stream that we couldn't hear anything either!
Shackleton was deep, great to hear his sound on a big system. Reso and Rusko, what can I say - the orginal Metal Thug and Cockney Slug! Big up haywire on the roam cam bringing the streamers closer the mayhem caused by their set!
Tubby and the Newham Gens smashed it - and me, by this time I was streaming myself! Spent the last two hours shaking in the office, so missed Mala and Tronman
Lastly thanks to Misery for driving back to Brighton, lifesaver! Kid - you were missed mate!!! Next time.......

each to their own init. as a wiseman(?) just said to me "variety is the spice of life and all that shit". spoken like a scholar and a gentleman.
basically i like dubstep mc`s to be on some walking on water business, not wading through it. scares all the marine life away init.

u know what being a little tipsy i started chatting to tubby and foots and badness about this very subject i was telling them how dubstep and grime should just love each other more, i think they was agreeing tho my memory is hazy. maybe they were just laughin at me. haha. haha. haha. vision what's wrong wtih having a bit of both innit? ever1 to their own as well but all tastes catered for blah blah same old argument
