If I would not hear it everywhere this whole high-pitch-wobble-step would sound kinda cool and very original. But not only that the rhythm doesnt not really hook me to dance, every fucking brostep release sounds like a copy of a copy of a copy. Its just like with every kind of pop music, it was copied so many times, that the newest remains to be a mix between Pop and teenage-band Metal on electronical instruments.
It's funny, but the last brostep track I liked was actually a Katy Perry remix (which even those kids hate because of lack of hard drop).

also, for anyone on here who may still think he "mixes," someone showed me this the other day. fucking ridiculous, he literally does nothing except light cigs, adjust hair, mash button on trigger finger, crossfade. BOLLOCKS

fyi. im not a fan.. but you cant hate on the guy for selling out and being booked at the biggest festivals around the world in his first run. be happy for him man, shit..

It is true. Guy cant mix. Sucks that DJs stopped using records.....I gave up getting upset about it anymore, but when these guys and Ableton I just dont know what to say anymore. Also I would be cool with Skrillex if we just came up with another name for the type of music he makes. It sounds nothing like the dubstep I grew to love, where are the dubs?

man, people just can't stop talking shit when they don't dig something. just face its not up your alley, and move on. no negativity neccessary....
anyway, never have heard any Skrillex before this, he must be pretty big to be on the Essential Mix... definitely different from most stuff I've heard, then again the chaotic wobbles grate on you after awhile
ahhh.... i'll stick with my BunZero mixes. Gimme cool calm collective anyday over hectic chaotic half noise.
EDIT: ok, im 15 mins into this mix and I cannot stand this shit. what is the hype over ?? sounds like a bunch of retarded animals locked in a room being tortured.

i dont know about you guys but i got to the 4th track and had to bail. this mix was my first time listening to skrillex and his style so i was willing to give it a honest listen.
im not gonna spit hate on the dude but its not my cup of tea. the whole high-pitch-wobble-step vibe kills my ears...i dunno, maybe its cause im in my early 30ies or something.
i actually had to turn it down just to give it a good listen which i rarely do with music.
