nah, he was quite nice about it really, said try again in a couple of years sonny and told me a decent place to check out (plus he was massive)

cheers man, yeah was still a good night- went to a reggae bar and then still grooved for about twenty minutes to berghain music at the station at 8 in the morning- am deff going to try get in again, sounded brilliant from outside

i think it's about 80% predictable. if you go a lot, you can almost always spot who *won't* get in, but you often see people turned away who you'd have thought would probably be fine.

i've been probably 20 times in the last 2 years with no problem at all, even (sometimes) in large groups, and was turned away for the first time a couple of weeks ago. in my position i felt i basically had to take it on the chin, since i've enjoyed the experience in berghain so many times as a direct result of their door policy that once in a while i can't really complain if i don't get in myself. it was just odd that the one time i didn't get in, it was just me and a friend, who had also been to berghain a similar number of times in the past 2 years - wearing the same shit we always wear, behaving more or less the same way. so yeah - there's definitely some randomness to the selection.

I'm going Berlin in November, and I'm definitely gonna try to get in this club. I'll post on here how I get on.

I got in with my girl no problem. Just look uninterested, like you don't care if you come in or not, and know some basic German. I have to say though, when I was there last summer, I was majorly disappointed by the DJ'ing there, some horrible shit on show.
