well put lol. i guess i meant more like people were equating him to skrillexy mainstream sellout etc and i dont think plastician would invite skrillex. doesn't give zeds dead instant cred or anything, of course he's still got more of a brostep appeal. but he's not fucking skrillex
I've always liked to represent all styles on my show and in my sets, I like Zeds Dead a lot and have been supporting their track rumble in the jungle for some time, also played a number of gigs with them across the pond.

But to assume I wouldn't have Skrillex on my show is also wrong, I'd happily host any producer of his stature within the scene, I may be a DJ but I also like to think I have been a good ambassador for the sound, having had a radio show on rinse for some 8 years and holding the first dubstep show on national radio for 18 months with the BBC.

I do rate skrillex as well, I can't find a way into my sets for his music as some of it is so crazy, but I totally respect he's trying new avenues with the sound and he's got good clean production too.

I still play the likes of J Kenzo on my show of late too. I like all kinds and will continue to help showcase the talents of anyone making good bass driven music which fits somewhere within the grime and dubstep styles. Whether people enjoy it or not is no problem, you can't please everyone.

Big up Zeds Dead, I really enjoyed the variety in the mix they played on my show. I've always admired producers who don't stick to just one idea and keep at it. Music is expression at the end of the day, not all tracks have to be serious, or dark, or deep, or noisy, or jump up. Same reason I got big repect for people like Skream who can do all kinds of tracks and they always sound good (to me).

Seems like the only people nowadays that have some common decency towards other artists are artists themselves. Everyday i hop on this forum you "elites" smash on everything and anything that isnt produced from the normal top 10 artists that have been around for ages.

Zeds Dead are dope, they throw it down at their live sets, their mix on Plastician's show was big and Rumble in the Jungle is HUGE. Yes they got tearout tracks and your oh so frowned upon brostep but they also have some quality tracks as well. People go mental to some of these tunes at events and shows. You either act like your oblivious to the fact that this type of dubstep is catching all the hype or your just in denial because your favorite genre from 4 years ago has evolved and changed its direction into many different paths faster than you expected it to.
Same can be said towards many artists now days especially some of the OGs of the scene.

Enough with the nonsense hating in every single thread of this forum, if you dont like it click the back button and go on with your day :Q:

Their remixes are great. But to be honest, the tracks they remix are already fantastic, so it's not the hardest thing to do.

I love their vocal effects and reese bass style.

This sort of shit can be annoying as the people slating brostep all the time. You like what you want and let everybody else like what they want.

The majority of dubstep i listen to is deep, is dungeon etc. I still massively rate Zeds Dead (Rudeboy aside). Not gonna lie, think there musical creativity is sick, and most of their stuff is a universe away from Bar 9, Skrillex, etc. BIG UP ZEDS DEAD

They have some big tunes, they have some bad tunes. Thats more then you can say for most of the tearout dudes. I like em fine. Seen em live and they threw down a pretty nice mix. They're originally hip hop guys and it definitely shows in their live performances.

Holy shit, that is fucking awful. Piano sample + Overused breakbeat + shitty generic wobble over the whole thing. Actually the worst production i have heard all week.

Two personal favorites from 2009.

Their bootleg of Pyramid song is of particular note. Somehow blending fidget, with melodic electro house. Think what you will of it now but it was quite novel at the time.
