I dont think it will be London or Tokyo.

Definitely USA for me again. Look at the 'Five' banner. It looks amercanised to fuck. Almost like a dollar bil.

Read on a site a while back they were gonna bring it back to Los Santos. Strictly LA business. Hope not that would be a bit weak. San Andreas was great because of the mixture of islands.

Possibly DC?

it's really not far off from what you're imagining really. Level design these days is very very automated at its most bare bones

I did not work on midnight club 3, but one of my instructors was a consultant on it and showed us a bit about how they made the san diego parts so realistic (at the time i was attending school at AI California @ San Diego so seeing a game with realistic portions of san diego tickled us immensely)

anywho they used some real maps (not sure the map program) but basically picked out what portions they wanted the game to go through. From there they said a red line means road, blue line means exit, yellow means underpass, and it automated the greater portions. I've used the same general theory to do line drawings of levels for FPS's and had the majority of my maps done for me (as far as a raw architecture standpoint)

It's realistic to think that these days I could simply take a detailed map of greater london, trace the roads I want in code (ie 2 lane, one way, 4 lane, alley, etc) and have that portion mapped identical to the real world. The hard part is buildings and textures. But if you wanted to make it where you drove down a generic road map of london that could be done very very easily

Loved 4, hopefully that was only an 'interactive tech demo' of what they have in store for 5 8)

GTA soundtracks are normal well sick, so hopefully they won't do that. The Vice City one is so good.

that would require moving shadow to exist again
There was a cool mod for an unofficial official MSX radio last year, done by Codebreaker again but without Rob Playford this time. It's a good mix, should work in any GTA really. I posted about it here: Re: GTA: The Radio Stations

a map of everything within the M25 would be fucking amazing, just the idea of being able to go to my house in GTA excites me greatly haha

I have almost 2 full moving shadow collections. I should get up on an adderall fit and just make a non stop mix of every msx tune ever

I dunno

I'm not gonna out the dude who made the big connections over at Rockstar with the drum and bass community as he used to be pretty big in the game... but if he's still with Rockstar and making shit happen, I doubt you'll see skrillex on the dial. The connection with Moving Shadow was not random. Then again its been a while so who knows.

Think you're more likely to see brostep on an EA game

I think it'd be a shame if they brought it back to Los Santos, as Los Santos was basically one big playground. I think trying to convert the content and the sheer amount of crazy shit you could do in the original would be virtually impossible.

You could say you have that in Saints Row, but Strying to maintain the graphics of GTAV while trying to put in the shit from Los Santos seems a bit much.

Let's hope he's in it, in a Mission titled 'Take back Dupstep' - A mission that involves Skrillex, an empty room, and a bat.

I would love to see them develop the shooting system some more; it was pretty decent on 4, same with the animations/movement.

They really need to step up their game in terms of those 3 things though.. Same for the driving too.

I would much prefer them work on the actual game play opposed to some elaborate shite story what gets boring by the 2nd island...Has been the downfall of all GTA's for me.

Actually, fuck it, it's a great idea. 'GTA; Dubstep', where you play as Mala and basically have to murder every tnuc who's joined Dubstep in the past 3 or so years (with exceptions, obv). In one mission, Loefah admits that all the Brostep before his UKFunky set is turning the ladies away, so can you please the keys to his Renault, wait for Flux Pavilion to leave his house and then make it look like an accident.

And instead of Hidden Packages, you have to collect the complete DMZ back catalogue which is hidden throughout the game.
