oo, I don't know.. I have been in a healthy and amazin' relationship since I was 18 (21 now.)
I had my 'fun' of being with loads of different women and doing wtf I wanted during my earlier teens; I like the fact I only have to look out for myself and her now - it makes life a lot more simple and it makes life a lot better to live.
Some people are just 'relationship people' and some are not at my kinda age - I also think it has to do with who the person is.
When a relationship is like 2 people who would be best mates with or without a relationship and not much would be different if there wasn't a relationship I think its 'right'.
Just don't date skets or crazies - and if you do start seeing them on the regular; don't get attached cause you'll just turn into a angry person haha.

Yeah you defo dont need to be in a relationship. I had a gf for a year from 17.5 to 18.5. Then was pretty much single until 25. Obvs had a few things here and there, but much more enjoyed having my freedom and being able to do everything you want and not have to think/worry about anybody else. Also makes xmas and birthdays a hell of alot cheaper as you aint got to by for no chicks.
Only downside is I find sex better in a relationship. So make sure you got a couple of fuck buddies on the go!!

I met my partner at 15 (nearly 16), we got married after university at 22, and I am now nearly 25 and we have a nine month old son.
Basically when you're all in your 30s and 40s messing around with babies and young children, I will have mid-life freedom!

However you have never lived without constraints and been able to make decisions based solely on what you want to do. You'll be financially relied upon for the rest of your life by your son.
You've never had real freedom.

I guess to actually answer the question myself I was in a relationship with the same girl from 13-18. I'm now 23 and haven't been in a relationship since because quite frankly I still want to be single after something that long at that age. We broke up just because we decided we hadn't really had our play of the field and I'm still good mates with her to this day. Yes, I was at it before most of my mates but part of me wishes I had been single more of my teens. But I stand by the fact that that 'my life would have no meaning' shit I posted about above just sounds like you've not got your own personality.

I would suggest that most people are constrained or restricted in their so-called 'freedom' by something, whether it be family commitments or otherwise.
Aside from education, my wife and I have spent the last 10 years partying and enjoying ourselves, both separately and together. Now felt the right time for us to take the next step and so we did. Not really much more to say than that!

Single until you are 35, then retire to a milf with two grown kids that can drive you to and from the pub.

16-18 I was with a 'try out' girl. Dog ugly (in hindsight), bit of a psycho (cut herself when I broke up with her, now a primary school teacher apparently), and generally had not a very pleasant time. But she was my training wheels when it came to shagging, so when I went to Uni and started to move up the attractive ladder in terms of birds, I wasn't a complete spastic with my technique.

Im almost 28 and marriage and having kids is my worst nightmare. Marriage is only a piece of paper anyway, too many people rush into it and fail miserably.

yeah this. im 22 and have had 2 relationships of 2 years and i dont really see the point in having another one until im like 30. although obvs it's nice and secure being in a relationship and whatever you're never completely free while you've got a bird, you can never just randomly decide to fuck off and do something crazy, which is what i'll be doing for the forseeable future. also the whole time while i was with them i was just thinking hmmm i haven't had sex with this person or this person and basically started to make a list (which isn't ideal with a gf) - now i can spend some serious time ticking off this list!
basically i think you gotta have a gf for a bit also you gotta live your own life for a while before it's ruined by commitment and such
