i just bought for my mom, dad, girlfriend, and sister. sent cards to everyone else though.
but i made out like a bandit this year. just from my mom and stepdad, i got about 200 bucks worth of random stuff like cologne, shampoo, ps3 games, etc and on top of that i got $500 cash. i think they hooked it up like that because i got straight A's in college and have been doing pretty well. but I'm very grateful.

I try to get most people something, except my brother, we agreed years ago that there's no point..
made my nans a calendar of where I live etc (they love stuff like that and it's not exactly expensive) parents got books and art, mates got novelty dvds and homemade marmalade, it doesn't have to cost much but it's just a nice thing to do.
spent the most on the gf and even that wasn't ott

Me and the misses just went shopping with each other this year bought some presents together aswell as buying each others.
Worked well until a few days before christmas when she wrapped up the the stuff for me, my mum and dad and gave them to me to take home and I left them at the bowling alley and someone knicked them :/

I got my mum the LMFAO cd, and she got me a APC40. I got my dad a 25 dollar gift to his choice of 5 restaurants, and he got me a ableton book, shoes, an adapter to plug my guitar into my iPod, and a new coat for winter season. Was a good christmas. I still owe my GF a gift because I'm broke, she got me a 3 month card for xbox live.
So op you should get presents for people if your receiving presents, you Scroogebag.

Raggles wrote:So i'm just curious as to how you guys (and families) are doing presents for Xmas (Holidays). My whole family usually gives everyone presents in my extended family and then Christmas day just my parents and brother open gifts. We all usually get each other gifts and it's great. I even have a job now to afford it. But for some reason I haven't gotten anyone presents (this includes my parents and brother) but they all got me and each other presents. What's weird is that I don't even care. I don't have the desire to give them gifts and I couldn't tell you why and I have even told them that. Am I being too cold hearted or what? I feel like they will realize how much of an emotionless dickhead I am tomorrow morning but I guess it's too late now.
Sorry for the depressing rant.

I know how you feel. Personally, i hate chrismas.
