+1 Do you honestly want to speculate why people make bad tutorials?

This thread is like a haven for good youtube tutorials. The ones from Ascian and Dodge and Fuski were damn excellent! Thanks for mentioning them!

Because most people who watch tutorials just sit and copy exactly what the tutorial shows rather than taking the skills and incorporating them into their own tracks.

For that reason if someone 'good' makes a tutorial showing how to make there best bass sound, then there's going to be loads of kids making tracks with the same sound and it makes that producer seem less, I don't know 'special/unique' as now everyone knows how they do things.

Obviously tutorials more broad about basses/pads/drums in general would be better from someone who knows what they're on about but when it comes to making actual sounds you'd be very lucky to find a decent tutorial with a sound that hasn't been copied 1000 times already.

EXAMPLE: High rankins tutorial - I have heard that bass patch so many times that if I ever hear it in a track now I won't even listen to the rest.
