Coki's mindset is to produce and master music which is completely centered around soundsystems, that is what dubstep used to be about, and should still be in my mind. As Kode 9 said way back on that old dubstep documentary, and I paraphrase...Lichee wrote:JBoy wrote:i dont care what it sounds like on a system, if im buying the vinyl then it should sound decent on my home set up.at first I thought this tune was a joke, it might be good on a system but the ratio of listening to this on a system and not is waaaay to big for for £7
? then don't buy it. It's not exactly a hard decision to makeLichee wrote:JBoy wrote:i dont care what it sounds like on a system, if im buying the vinyl then it should sound decent on my home set up.at first I thought this tune was a joke, it might be good on a system but the ratio of listening to this on a system and not is waaaay to big for for £7
agree that would have made me so happy got some much love for soundboy maybe it will come on the next AWD. its still a massive vinyl just with duppy soursop, even if i dont agree with 7quidmVI wrote:BIG.![]()
Should've pressed Soundboy on the flip though.
I appreciate that bass weight is best felt on a proper system, mine can still produce a decent depth of sound though. This track just sounds cobbled together.bass_culture wrote:Coki's mindset is to produce and master music which is completely centered around soundsystems, that is what dubstep used to be about, and should still be in my mind. 'I don't make music for people to listen to in their bedrooms, I make it to be played on the biggest and loudest soundsystems out there!'
I don't think I own one Coki record which sounds good on my home speakers, but playing them out is a whole different story!
Its not just the weight on this one though... huge range of mids/highs that when played through amazing tweeters just sound unreal when combined with all that weight! A bit like this tune as well...JBoy wrote:I appreciate that bass weight is best felt on a proper system, mine can still produce a decent depth of sound though. You don't have to use PayPal to order from Surus. I don't.Amantus wrote:It's gone off every single time I've heard it in a dance. Will probably end up bagging this, but I'm not sure now that Marduk's come out and I've got my hands on a copy.
Is this likely to be sold anywhere else? I got Lucifer / Ruff Lovin' from Surus, but now Paypal have limited my account until I give them all my personal details under the sun, so I can't buy anything from Surus any more.
I'm still not so sure it's not. It sounds just like some prime DJ Wanka material. But of course, people will continue to perpetuate this cycle of uplifting anything related to DMZ based on it's name & regardless of it's quality.Lichee wrote:JBoy wrote:i dont care what it sounds like on a system, if im buying the vinyl then it should sound decent on my home set up.at first I thought this tune was a joke, it might be good on a system but the ratio of listening to this on a system and not is waaaay to big for for £7
