Geogaddi is my favourite album of theirs.
I remember when The Campfire Headphase came out, it didn't receive as favourable reviews as their earlier work, but I thought it was up there with the rest of their material. Looking forward to hearing something new, for sure.
I don't understand why Campfire Headphase wasn't as popular, I loved it I thought it was one of their best albums.
Maybe it was because it wasn't as dark and moody as their other stuff or maybe people were trying to get more meaning of of the album then their actual was.

Yeah I think that was partly the reason, didn't have as much scary atmospherics and stuff. It's definitely one of their best imo tho, all the songs just make me want to sit at the top of a mountain with a pair of headphones on haha.
This is one of the best off that album -
The chords at 2:08 just make me melt

I love some Boards of Canada. Me and my lass used to chill everynight to Music Has The Right To Children.

I fucking love them.
One of the worst life decisions I ever made was, in about 2000/1, just when I'd first started DJing, I elected to buy Beautiful Place Out In The Country EP on CD rather than the sky blue vinyl I could've had for the exact same price, on the grounds that I'd never mix it in with the housey bollocks I was playing at the time.
A new album is well overdue

Some represses of their older material would be welcome as well... the prices they go for on ebay are ridiculous!

agreed. and they should be properly remastered. the sound of their vinyl releases mostly doesn't do them justice IMHO.

Why is Geogaddi still in the shrink wrap?

hah I see how you could confuse that for shrink wrap. those are tears in the fold from being worn.

Boards of Canada is really good. But I actually enjoy Tycho, Jon Hopkins, Ochre, and Murcof a bit more.

For those who like BOC, also check Principles Of Geometry, Galerie Stratique and Ciaran Byrne.

Sounds sick. Would love high quality versions of the unreleased tracks you hear dotted around those live bootlegs... Some sort of b-sides thing would definitely go down a treat, I think, with just about every real Boards fan who currently exists.

This track sounds so much like Burial.
What if this is the track that started it all for him and the reason he became a producer!?
