Ive read a few articles which are speculating the fact that the Ableton developers have gone for a complete rewrite with Ableton 9 judging on the amount of time since Ableton 8 was released and the fact that there has been very little major updates, all just bug fixes etc.
Also i believe they will be waiting for Bitwig Studio to be released so they can outdo them.

Ableton is a 32-bit program.. You need to run a 32bit VST in order for it to work.

I just looked at Bitwig Studio. It looks like a complete rip off of Ableton with improvements! I cang wait to try it. You are probably right that they are waiting to outdo them because that will be competition for sure if Ableton does not step up their game.

Reason 6 is 64 bit i believe

Yeah i know. I like reason but dislike the whole issue where it does not accept 3rd party plugins

I personally like Fruity Loops. It doesn't matter what DAW you use though, they all work the same but act differently. Don't let all the fan boy, opinionated, crap get to your head. Good luck man!

Yeah in the past I have been a fan of fruity loops also. I just wish there was a way to organize the vsts--unless there is and I dont see it. Anyone have opinions on the Sonar DAW?

Just want to say...just tried Studio One....I freakin love it once I gave it a chance.
