sorry, I haven't read through but are your eyes open while you're having the entity or are you just dreaming that you're awake at the time?

trying to wrap my head around this.

You're awake in your room but not fully awake if you get me.

Like you're not dreaming, but you can't move and sort of hallucinate and don't think straight

Whats actually happening(or so I've read) is this: Whn you dream you enter R.E.M. sleep. (rapid eye movement) While your dreaming your eyes are actually moving around very quickly. So when your already asleep and your about to enter R.E.M. sleep your brain releases a chemical that paralyzes your physical body. If your brain did not have this chemical everyone would be physically acting out their dreams. It would be a nightmare.(pun intended.) So, sleep paralysis occurs when you wake up right at the moment when your entering R.E.M., thus, you are paralyzed for a minute until your body catches up w/ your brain. Makes perfect sense really. That said, all the weird, disturbing sounds, feelings, evil presences, demon on your chest shit has yet to be explained. There's really no way to determine it.

Anyone had the dream within a dream thing? Happened to me just once.
And the sleep paralysis i've had really does feel like there are demons in the room, can hear like demonic whispers and chanting. One time it felt like there was something above me sucking the life out of me. I've heard the sound of horses trotting along a couple times when it's happened as well, when there's clearly no horses near my 5th floor uni halls.

I've only ever had sleep paralysis once, but it was in the middle of a French class... I was fully aware of what was going on around me but must have seemed totally asleep... My professor took a stack of books and dropped them on my desk to try to startle me... Normally it would have been, but thanks to the sleep paralysis I didn't react at all... Then he prodded me a couple of times and was starting to get concerned before I finally woke up a few seconds later. No demons or hallucinations though, so all in all it was rather amusing.

Yeah loads, it's wacky shit. I always used to wake up in my dream (false awakening) pissed that i didn't gain lucidity in my dream-dream. Then i would lie back down and wake up in the real world. Happened countless times.

Other times, i would be in my dream-dream and getting lucid, then i would awake from dream-dream to level 1 dream and get excited as hell then wake up again.

I always tried sleep-paralysis as an easy path to the lucid state, Never worked out for me, Still trying lucidity though, Too lazy to keep a dream journal, so I havent really gotten anywhere yet..

I get it every so often, particularly when I fall asleep during the day, or after a heavy rave session. It was so bad when I was a lil nipper that it kind of trickled into my nightmares, most of which involve me being paralysed. It's pretty hard to distinguish the two.

One of the worst was when my mate walked in and he had no face, in combination with that general feeling of doom. Shit was horrifying. He looked like a thumb.

This is the very reason i do not sleep on my back, besides i never have done because its naturally uncomfortable!
as such, sleep paralysis hasnt hit me...however i have reached lucidity:

after a long drawn out dream, i was being chased by police, eventually got caught.
Once i was in the police van, i simply looked over and said 'its fine, i cant go to prison for something i did in a dream.'
BOOM, realisation hit! i very nearly woke up, i remember seeing my window (as i have no curtains) but somehow managed
to fight it and draw myself back in. Once i was in, a did some cool shit and woke up 2 minutes later!
