tbh He's making out that people aren't still getting into music for the love of Roy Ayers and Kraftwerk which is completely false. I know loads of people who's favourite bands are from that era (maybe not as mainstream as Kraftwerk but other Krautrock bands ygetme)

yeah but what he's saying is true... song structure (scales, modes, theory, synching drums with bass, obeying your keys, obeying your pitch, etc etc) are all things that people have used to tickle the fancies of folks for hundreds of years. He's saying as of late technology has allowed many people oblivious to all this to get away with ignoring basic fundamentals of music. This is blatantly obvious when people tolerate a track, better yet praise a track, in two different keys.
Lets ignore drum and bass or dubstep and just go for something mainstream as an example
remember this one? if you didnt dig it your girl at the time did... problem is, to anyone with the slightest inclination of musical skill this song is like nails on a fucking chalkboard because its entirely out of key. Like not barely, entirely out of key
i get what he's saying. The way music is made, and more so the threshold is fucking a joke

Sounds like a bad mashup job which is what I think it basically is.

Yea I already said I agree with the rest, what he said in the statement I'm talking about is false though
