that first Matty G tune is fuckin dooooooopenesssssssssss
@ Equinox, you're entitled to your opinion but i think its innaccurate . i think Ntype has some of the best selection around, lots of variety. some deep minimal for the smokin crew, reggae-ness for the skankin crew, glitchy tech stuff, across the board killer tunes. not to say i like every single tune, but most of em for sure
how can you not like the tune at 70:30 ?!
raw to the floor

yeah sure. you can always say "then don't listen to him". sure, but what really bothers me is the trend. what is the direction? where will dubstep be in one year and what i recognize is a little bit comparable to dnb. dubstep was and still is a atomized and reduced. that's were the energy comes from. there was a thread where something like "...what we can learn from dnb" was discussed and i think one thing to learn from the rise and fall of dnb is to stick to at least some of the originating elements. there will be subgenres, but it would lacerate my heart if nothing from "classic"-dubstep survived....

that new electro-ish thing from the copenhagen massive is sick too!
i really can't get enough of that type of sound
the tune between jakes -3kin and distance - the v, n-type sais its from DJ G or something.
well, that sound, the most emotional though very electric sound i've heard in a while, gives me instant goosebumps, where can i find that ?

well, i didn't like dubstep allstars 5 either and now i know why. it's because of n-type's style. don't get me wrong. this is no disrespect or something, i just don't like his style. it reminds me of the rise and fall of drum and bass with it's faster, harder attitude. this killed the innovational progression. personally i think this is the wrong direction and we should not make the same mistakes. i am really worried...
my 0.02$
I agree to the extent that I'm not really in dubstep for the bangers either, and you're entitled to your opinion... but N-Type is a sick, sick DJ. Dubstep's always been about going out, hearing it loud and dancing, and there's always been tunes built for the rave - and if I'm in the mood to hear those kinda tunes, N-Type is seriously the perfect DJ to present them. He's so solid technically - tight, quick, and inventive, and when he's on radio he has the perfect light hearted hosting style. His selection is far more varied than you give him credit for too

This set is a good example; he plays tunes by loads of up and comers, and through solid long-term support he's brought people like Kromestar into the mainstream.
