West Nile disease originated in Africa, Africans are from Africa
I don't consider "African" a race, there are Egyptians, South Africans etc... if she said "With so many blacks in Greece" then it would be different, just seems like a lame joke to me...

Don't think the joke is racist. Also thought the Olympics promoted tolerance. Being intolerant of the intolerant, does not equal tolerance.
Her statement in relation to her other prior statements and what she is supporting in Greece makes her statement racist.

I honestly think.this team would kill the dream team. Its an unpopular opinion but only 2 people could guard anyone on this team while this entire team can play d. You don't need a center anymore given the size of the average player.
USA goes undefeated average margin of.victory 28
Hardly surprising in a sport only you and Canada care about

lmfao are you actually serious?
you don't get how that joke is dehumanising and implicitly negative about the presence of african people in greece? you think that because there are different shades of people and different nation states in africa, no comment that uses the word "african" can be racist.
christ some people on here are dumb.

After all of us taking the piss out of all the people clamouring to get a glimpse of the Torch for the last few weeks, it just went straight past my office and we all ended up glued to the window. I actually almost got semi hyped.
Funny to see the streets pack out with office workers, all waiting about 45 minutes for a 30 second view and then wandering off for breakfast/coffee. It's clearly been a productive morning in the City today!

Well that's the thing, I'm really into Jiu-Jitsu which is very closely related to Judo and has a lot of similar/identical techniques, the only real difference is that Judo is focussed on getting your opponent to ground whereas Jiu-Jitsu is far more concerned with what happens once you're on the ground... Seriously considering taking up Judo to compliment my Jiu-Jitsu game, add some throws and trips to my arsenal

And Spain, and Germany, and France, and Argentina, and Brazil, and Russia, and China, Israel, Turkey, etc. Most large nations have pro leagues

true, but i dont think basketball in itself is as important to the general public than it is in the US
sportswise, football remains the main form of entertainment in europe i think
also not to mention the kind of money involved in the NBA, i'm not even sure there's that kind of money in the english premier league

basketball is the third most popular sport in the world, and pretty much the second most popular in the countries where they don't play cricket.
argentina won the 04 gold medal. the international game has some real talent
