Yes, that's what empathy is. Putting yourself in other people's shoes. I may not get the full experience, but I definitely get a taste of it.

Not crazy in the real sense, very coherent and did a (poorly) planned out execution. But yeah, I'd put his somewhat calm tone down to shock. I'd expect he was crying like crazy an hour or 2 after that once the reality of his actions set in.

You guys mean you can literally feel everything the kid went through as in the murder, or his situation with his mother & sister? Because on the subject of the latter, I'd guess this kid is a selfish bratty narcissistic shit. That's just an assumption on my part based on what I've seen with certain types of kids while in the US. They yell, throw tantrums, and literally hit their parents for some of the most banal kind of stuff. Even in public... it's pretty shocking. That's a general/broad statement, but I've see it so much it's almost becoming normal. A lot of parents will make excuses too, like it's their 'ADHD' acting up. So I'm not surprised it could escalate to this kind of stuff.

Yeah there is some consensus to this idea about the way
western society (and the "American way," especially) has created
these personality types that know the cost of everything and
the value of nothing, they learn the way to manipulate others
to gain their own desires, they're conditioned to learn that
failure isn't tolerated on any level - and there is a complete apathy
of the generation that raise them this way because they're
