i dont think you can get properly addicted to weed.
ive stopped for months at a time with almost no drawbacks except some vivid dreams. which is fun, actually.

I just thought telling someone who smokes x amount of weed, to stop and do something worthwhile

when i stopped smoking weed i had crazy dreams for ages
most memorable one involved my dad getting a helper chimp which ran away to wear a flat cap and become an alcoholic in my shed's chimney
