the first mp3 i ever got was fucking U2 - vertigo b/c i had a free itunes DL from a pepsi bottlecap back when they were doing that

whole reason i got itunes was 2 cash in on pepsi bottle cap codes

ironically though i now think that both pepsi & vertigo are absolute shit

Picked it out in 1983 at the record shop with my mum. Still listen to it. :D

First album was a burned copy of Green Day's "American Idiot" on CD. Only ever listened to the first 4 or so tracks. Wasn't much into music then. Then I got the Linkin Park vs. Jay-Z mashup album for xmas...I had a shit taste in music growing up.

ok my first cd wasn't that (although I love it)
if not mistaken it was Eminem, not quite sure though could've been that Moby one too
first tape was either samson & gert (you guys wouldn't know it) or the Dutch version of Colours of the wind (what a song <3)

I had Cypress HIll - Black Sunday on cassette, had it when I was about 6 I think. I remember Dad buying it for me and Mum absolutely hating it haha. He had it on 12 and I used to listen on his stereo on weekends, was so happy when I could listen to it at home.
