It's not. I'm all for educating the masses and promoting the more constructive options that benefit the scene and the DJs, but the youtube audience is so thirsty for this stuff, and it takes zero effort to upload cuts, so there's really very little we can do. I assume DJs know this, and accordingly are careful with which tunes they play on a show like Essential mix.

I'm really not a bad guy or a "c*unt" as you called me but you can have your opinion. I make no money off my channel. Youtube is a major way for people to discover music. I'm not sure why you're getting pissed off now when dubplates have been uploaded to Youtube for years now. No one is forcing you to watch the "HD dubplatez". If you don't like it, don't watch it.

If you look at my channel then that should answer your question. I have no facebook or twitter. If I was really hungry for likes wouldn't you think I would make a facebook? Why would I be posting dubstep and not brostep? Brostep would obviously get me more subscribers and likes. Not sure why you all are questioning the reason for my channel.

i assume that we all do this for the respect of a group wich we think we belong to and to show everyone how cool our music taste it, and theres nothing bad in it, but educating the masses? that just sounds ridiculous

i don't have anything against you or rippers, i mean ffs i've even posts coki rips from n-type shows. the essential mix is different though. and my qualms are more with the uploader in the op and the people pretending that what they do isn't for self-gain. of all the tunes that guy chose to rip, he chooses the james blake one. now we all know why that is (if you don't, its for the name aforementioned).

Yeah that was a mistake on my part. Sorry. Just seemed like you were accusing me of hindering the sound and mocking my channel. That kind of pissed me off. But I probably shouldn't have posted in this thread anyway. We cool man.

when those 7 days are up, by all means, link your pages, i for one will be asking for a link.. but for now i shall be listening through the website to get the listening figures up, so theres more of the sound on the radio.. its an actual travesty that the best dj our scene has got hasnt had an essential mix

it's more the audacity of thinking they deserve a booking, i hope promoters aren't stupid enough to actually book them. after googling that 'unknown' guy above though, i am wrong, their are.

if it wasn't for youtube uploaders, I'd never get the chance to listen to most of the dubplate and vinyl exclusives and stuff that "you have to reach a dance" to listen to.

And yeah, if someone uploads a rip or a clip of one my unreleased tunes to youtube it'd make me feel good about music, but so far only old releases and free tunes
