Yep Sony just destroyed Microsoft, $100 cheaper pricepoint on the system, they're supporting used games, and no online authentication.
Some of the titles look decent as well, and the promise of the other new IPs they're developing is great, think they said 13 in the works.

Damn it I wanted to see an update on Last Guardian, it's why I was going to get a PS3 and all the delays and development hell is why I never got one.

Probably gonna preorder a PS4 and I skipped consoles last generation.
Though did anyone catch that they seem to be making online multiplayer a premium service now though?

$5 though, and with everything else you get? i can live with that.

Yeah, they are. They tried to cover it up, but it's there. they totally nailed it on everything else though.

If you completely skipped consoles this gen I would recommend picking up a used PS3 or 360 to catch up on all the console exclusives you missed (especially since neither of the new consoles have backwards compatibility).

Yea I'll probably pick up a PS3 at some point, honestly my PC library and backlog is so large I'm in no rush.
Hell I'm still finding titles on PS2 and 1 I missed that I'm still playing.

Nintendo is going to have to roll out some amazing first party titles or some non rehash 3rd party stuff and possibly a price break after the announcement of the PS4 price point being close to the Wii U while being a beefier machine.

I hope they'll do a price break, but I dunno. As for games, I think they'll be set after tomorrow. SSB, Mario, Zelda, 101, Pikmin, Bayonetta, Project X, Yoshi, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei and Retro's game adds up to a lot more first party stuff than MS or Sony. Of course, 3rd party support will still suck but that didn't hurt the Wii all that much.

Well you never know right, IIRC they waited a long time before releasing ICO because they reworked it for the PS2 from 99 to 02. Might be they're doing the same and reworking the game for the PS4. Anyway Ueda said the project is still in development and hasn't been let down at all but the team can't say anything about it because Sony decides whether to talk or not... Let's hope

You always had to pay JUST to play on xbox live, PS3 was free for multiplayer features but even so I always got PS Plus. It's under 20USD for 3 months on PS3, or about 45 a year so if the price sticks, fair play. There's crazy discounts, and I've gotten ridiculous amounts of awesome free games on PS+. Just in the last 5 or so months Sleeping Dogs, Infamous 2, LittleBigPlanet2, Deus Ex: HR, and next week Uncharted 3 and LittleBigPlanet Racing. Several others, but those are the bigger titles.

It took me 28 hours spread over 1 month to beat Sleeping Dogs, but that's only story mode. Still lots to do.
I haven't even installed Deus Ex yet.

I don't really like digital stuff, but at least used games are still an option and the PS4 price point is decent. 399MSRP, not long before it's 299... So yeah I guess that's fair.
