I don't think, I know
Yeah... you know absolutely nothing.
BOOOOOOOOOOM THAT HURTS.
Kidding, this is a rather bad try. 2/10 for the effort.

Do you think saying something like that over the internet affects the way the other feels/behave ? If you think so you are naive.
And if you get emotional from posts about you on the internet, then I have bad news for you brah.

So many people are new to the iNt3rWebZ here ahahahah, it's not real life dudes, learn how it works

And btw to the guy mentioning the age factor, do you think people 19 or below give a fuck about what you said ? ahahaha
Judging people and giving them (or no) the authorization to post and attributing a value to theses according to their age is incredibly wrong. (and i'm over 19, so my argument is valid :D )

What I do care about are the mature articulate posters who don't mind putting in the work before asking for something. And if keeping a quality signal to noise ratio on this forum requires dumbasses getting trolled, then so be it. They all end up getting their answers in the end anyway.

You can't be touchy about getting trolled a bit and then call the rest of the forum touchy for getting pissed at lazy noobs. It's a two way street. If boneheads expect us to tolerate their antics and give them some info, they're gonna have to tolerate getting razzed a bit and maybe doing some research of their own.
^^^ Exactly what I was thinking. It just seems many people come here looking for immediate answers, when they can barely formulate an intelligible question. It's obvious when someone who has done research posts an intelligent question and it's more obvious when someone who didn't do research ask basic and dumb questions. Ie: is this computer good for producing dubstep. You might as well ask if you should use lazers in your songs. Something like this kinda gets to me and I'm pretty new to the site, so I know it's gotta piss off the vets of the site.

Don't take this the wrong way or think I'm starting a fan club, but I've seen SunkLo post humurous banter on posts like these, but when it comes to a serious question that hasn't been answered 100 times, he gives a very intelligent answer and he knows his stuff and is always willingto offer help to those who aren't lazy. When I first got on the site I was like wtf, but then I got it. It's more about respect. If you've been coming to a forum for years and every year/month lazy noobs ask the same questions, it's going to be really frustrating for the vets to learn something new and spread knowledge when there are minimal intelligent xonversations being had. I mean how many times in the past 6 months has someone created a new post about 'how can I make my kicks better'... Either learn muy thai or watch one of the 2.000 youtube video tutorials and experiment until it works. Don't ask what to do, do it, try it, experiment with it, make it work, make your money

The reason being that all i ever see is people trying to act like the big "I AM" i.e. nit picking over a little grammer mistake, or because of someones user name

The following link is an example:-

http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=273850

I mean who gives a damn if he wants a pc for dubstep or music production.....everytime i see a post where someone is asking a question (especially if he/she is new here) i see all this nit picking and "just use google etc bollox"....i mean come on if you don't want to answer or entertain a thread DONT READ IT.....that is common sense......

Hey he/she is new lets piss on their parade and take our anxiety out on them then i will feel like a big man/woman and be respected lol
I'm usually the first one to acknowledge that there is a lot of troll and nonsense posting going on. There's far too much bickering and shit talking in threads that don't really warrant it. However, I find that thread you posted as an example to be the exact opposite of the point you are trying to make. There was 1 or 2 people that made a rather simple joke at the expense of the OP but other than that there's quite a bit of good advice in that thread. Stuff that I hope the OP kept in mind while purchasing their parts. If you can't even handle the rather gentle ribbing that is happening in that post then you shouldn't even be allowed on the internet.

Personally I don't mind the posts where people tell the user to use google. When I started producing music I wasn't even aware of places like DSF or DOA. When I decided I wanted to try it for myself I went directly to search engines. The first thing I found out was that I was probably going to need a DAW. So the first thing I did was go to google to look for different programs. From there it was just a matter of figuring out what I needed on my own and looking for it on my own. I learned how to use my programs on my own. I learned how to use my synths on my own, albeit not very well. I'm sure you can see where this is going.

I did the majority of the work on my own, and there's no reason why I shouldn't expect others to do the same. Most of the time it's quite easy to figure out by a post if the poster actually tried to do something themselves or if they are simply expecting you to hand it to them. I understand the backlash in those threads. I usually choose to just ignore most of them myself. It's obvious that telling them how they can learn on their own isn't going to go anywhere. They already know that they can learn on their own, but they want a shortcut.

Show some initiative and maybe people won't troll you as often. That's really all it takes for some people. Just show me that you've at least tried, or even put some thought into it on your own. This will, at the very least, show that you are serious about what you are doing. No one wants to help that kid that is just trying to be cool for his friends. That's just insulting to the rest of us.

OP, be the change that you want to be.

It's counter productive for you to use one of your first posts to complain about people who think they are superior (which I don't really see IMO).

Instead, try to help people in a way that you would like to see on this forum.

EZ
