I just can't believe anyone would stand there just saying damn over and over while someone hit their mate and robbed them. I mean the dude seems to just be a normal dude. He's not super hench or seems to be good at fighting or nothing and I can't see anyone else with him. I think if I was the camera man and someone punched my mate like that I'd drop the fucking camera and hit the dude.

It's called a setup, or he just wanted the footage to get on worldstarhiphop (hell there's a shining example of a site full of videos with people standing by doing jack shit when bad things happen).

Yeah that was sort of my point. It strikes me as just being some casual assed looking video at the start that would be filmed by someone he knew but the dude standing and not doing anything suggests he must have been in on it or is a major tnuc.

Looks legit to me, not that I have a clue who any of these guys are...but real street robberies don't happen like they do in KIDulthood, and the randomness of them do often leave people shocked just looking on without getting involved or intervening.

I don't think you tend to make concious decisions during these kind of incidents, you are too caught in the moment to make a clear choice between fighting back, running, just sitting there and taking it.
Generally if this sort of thing has happened to you before you react a lot more appropriately (run or fight) if not, then it's not a real surprise that you would just stay there taking a beating.

Yeah instinct comes into it a lot in fights etc.

You sometimes barely remember what happened too from my experience. Its really weird feeling as you can miss 10-15 seconds of memory.

people seem to get drawn to attacking me

ive also been mugged a few times whilst on my own

that first few seconds of instinct is everything, and you have no idea how you'll react - sometimes i've fought back, sometimes ive just taken it

but afterwards i barely remember what happend

i think if your in a crowded place like outside a club its worth fighting back, cus if it goes bad its likely someone will jump in to stop, but if your on your own i just think like they could stab u or whatever and its not worth it for like £20
