The system was far too quiet when Chef played, would have been far better and got a much better reaction if it was turned up.Geey wrote: i was a firm believer in keeping those tunes as dubs so when you hear them out theyre special but when chef played jah power dub at system didnt seem that special, didnt even get reloaded.
yeah i agree, vivek only seems to turn it up for his sets so in that case we aint gonna see none of these special dubs up loud at the best night we got in london for this sound.Marcus wrote:The system was far too quiet when Chef played, would have been far better and got a much better reaction if it was turned up.Geey wrote: i was a firm believer in keeping those tunes as dubs so when you hear them out theyre special but when chef played jah power dub at system didnt seem that special, didnt even get reloaded.
Biggest unreleased tune ever imo. I'd probably cry tears of joy too if it got a release!jsml wrote:Speaking of never gonna happen, can you imagine if it was DMZ vs MZN? I'd cry.
Yeah when he dropped that I was thinking it didn't sound quite right. Still a classic set, played bare old dubs, but yeah the power wasn't there for some tunes, still loved hearing Chalice and Light one on that rig. Somebody said before maybe it was the fact it was on cd, seem to remember when Mala dropped it at carnival one last year went off much more.Marcus wrote:The system was far too quiet when Chef played, would have been far better and got a much better reaction if it was turned up.Geey wrote: i was a firm believer in keeping those tunes as dubs so when you hear them out theyre special but when chef played jah power dub at system didnt seem that special, didnt even get reloaded.
Yeah completely agree, I'm gonna ad Bob's Pillow to that list too, brilliant tune imo.epochalypso wrote:I was thinking the other day, I know the last few bits he's put on his soundcloud have been a bit dodgey, but I was just thinking how many bangers Coki has made in just the last couple of years.
Marduk
Badness
Revolution
Haymaker
Madman
Nneka remix
Voodoo Dolls
Spooky
Onboard

Even back to Horrid Henry, Tree Trunk and Ransom tune on that Future Bass comp.
And that's not even counting his LP.
I'm ok with letting the questionable ones slide

Agree, the mastering on that release is bad.johney wrote:those tunes are sick, the release's mastering is god awful, though, made me regret buying it instead of marduk

Mastering on Marduk is 10/10 though, sounds large.
