I too am pissed off with tha place, however, it is incredibly difficult for some of us to leave.

I have tried for variuos foriegn visas, at length, on a number of occasions, and had no luck, but spent a lot of cash and wasted a lot of time in the process. Seems the only place they will let me go is Europe, which is just as bad.

Anyway, just my two cents, nothing personal.

I used to think the same of complainants until I got pissed off myself and tried to get the hell out, to no avail, despite having several job offers in the relevant countries on all occasions.

....As regards smoking law....

my view is that if you are allowed to smoke NOW (age 16 now) and are now addicted to cigarettes, you should be still allowed to smoke after the ban.
It is incredibly difficult to quit permanently, I know because I have quit several times only to return after 1 or 2 years off.
making it illegal is not some instant success road to having everyone quit anyway.
It makes it more exciting to smoke, for youngsters especially, and like myself, they will be able to get hold of cigarettes real easy, at whatever age, if they want, as I did from 8yrs on.
