i'm concerned that while threads like this wind on and descend into back and forths, the music in question is becoming less and less relevant and interesting

somewhere i think there's a point being missed

all we're left with is this petty nit-picking crap
and out in the real world fewer people could give a fuck

i would consider i have some kind of life
popping here occasionally
but these days i'm finding less and less to inspire me
and it's a bit sad

the inspiring stuff comes in waves of highs and lows

No, there was a big debate over what to call the new category in the DSF awards which was supposed to represent all the wide ranging music discussed on this forum. And in fact they did end up calling it "120-130 BPM" or some such nonsense. Nonsense because genres like footwork and beatz (and a lot of house and techno actually) aren't in that BPM range, and the winners didn't really make sense. But then.......
