Seriously though guys, what do you think is next? As far as the underground goes theres a definite leaning towards techno these days but im not sure if that'll translate well into the mainstream

The whole zouk bass sound could break through... tbf there are a couple good tracks from that sound

Yeah i know i really shouldnt care about whats next lol but still

what we can gather from mainstream behaviour is that it will adopt in someway almost anything. who would have thought dubstep would go into the mainstream 5 years ago? at that time electro / fidget house also sounded fresh and cool and underground. yeah it's not exactly the same but the elements are there you all know this already no need to explain

when garage and house became the norm in bass music few years back, it wasn't really apparent that we'd hear tiesto making a track inspired by that sound.. it seems that the more "underground"-oriented EDM-heads are already starting to reject bro EDM house and started to play /produce more "bro-y" garage and deep house tracks. i'm just saying that you never know, but history teaches us that somehow the mainstream will later adopt what the cool kids currently like at some point, in some form.

I never figured out what the hell Fidget house is. Is it the electro house tunes with Justice-style syncopated stabs from 8 different synth patches and funk guitars and the odd wobble tossed in there?

Fidget was what would happen if electro house got really pissed and had access to old hip hop records.

was gonna say that it's the same as electro house but wub hit the nail on the head as per usual, now that i think of it

i got a couple of super peng maxis from cheap thrills and future perfect, some rico tubbs, foamo etc.. tbh they're banging tunes but there's just no room to play them anymore.. but with the modern cycle of music there's gonna be a retro - electro house wave coming in few years :)

it's fun music you can't deny it.. this i could even maybe slip in some jacking house set cause it got that garage swing
