Probably because in most of them he was a supporting character... He had the lead in very few films but when you pay attention to his performances he knocks it out of the park everytime.

yeah, he was always that supporting actor. his roles never seemed to differ to me either.

Maybe a movie about gwa being an idiot would work. Might even be better than Magic Mike.

Magic Mike was a great film. McConaughey was robbed of an Oscar nomination for it IMO.

Don't forget Tatum.

Wasn't Oscar worthy IMO.

Quite a lot of shirtless action though, something Hoffman wasn't exactly known for.

Hoffman wasn't in Magic Mike, I was talking about Matthew McConaughey.

If you watch a film where men aren't fully clothed it makes you a bummer, didn't you know?

Well, that was meant as some kind of argument in the McConaughey > Hoffman discussion.

It didn't go as planned because the opposing party decided to accuse me of homophobia instead
of defending his position.
But let's leave it, I'm sure there's plenty of arguments on why McConaughey is the superior actor.

No argument, he is. McConaughey is the GOAT actor.
