In fact, the handing of meat by far is worth by certain muslims. Once the animal is dead it treated very poorly, dragged around and kept in poor unhygienic conditions - far from respecting the animal, which it the reason why the law is different for Muslim. Call it a more sane way of killing a animal, but the fact is quite the opposition.

Plus it's not like organic meat or something. Their chicken, make almost all other chickens are dashing in little breading farms with antibiotics hormone shit and stetroies.

I still have yet to understand this particular rule.

There was a point historically in not eating pork, particularly in nomad cultures because the meat spoils quicker than other meats with the temps in that part of the world, pre-fridge.

In general western society consider muslim societies to not have had the 'age of enlightenment' at the same time and that becomes the common explaination or excuse for accepting the cultural difference. Like the view on women or upbringing.

When it is the case, that part of the eating habit is so directly intertwined with the faith or literally part of the 'gospel', then we as a society or collectively, has to let it pass and just on the general basis of democrazy that we are used to having to submit to. This issue isn't any different.

I see so many Subways and McDonalds in Britain nowadays, it's like living in a foreign country...

You are living in a foreign country, and the Muslims are now dictating what you can or cannot eat.

They should probably just open up their own sandwich shop, Halalway or Halalpit or Halalstop or something.

Next thing you know they are going to have vigilante groups roaming your cities, enforcing their religion and moral codes down your throat.

Listen, I am all about freedom of religion and freedom of choice, but when you have mega-religious vigilante groups walking around, forcing their beliefs and morals on you, then there is something seriously wrong, especially in a predominantly Christian country.

While I do agree with your point, Subway is not dependant of the State... If they get lobbied by certain groups to change their menu they have every right to do so, the people who enjoy eating pork will no longer eat there and Subway will see for themselves if the decision was worth it business-wise.

The vigilante groups you're referring to have more to do with communitarianism than religion I think.
