I got caught up at the night my mate was playing, didn't get off till 1 and once i found it was free I thought theres no chance me getting in.
I think Mala meant he built system like .. the night? His clout did get the name out there properly.

agree but still far too sweaty in there and security was a bit on the knobby side... shot girl going round was fit but really?? a shot girl??
enjoyed the music more than i enjoyed the night, even with an rc1 in the room i don't think i'd enjoy it as much as system, too many people, vibes really weren't all that, maybe its me getting older but too many people were mandy'd off their nut leaning on me when i was trying to dance..
didn't enjoy young warriors selection to start with, proper cheesy club reggae, preferred it when he started to play more roots music.
mala was on point with selection, think he played some of his dubs in there, on his newer half steppy march vibe.
coki mucked the place with some of his bangers, didn't enjoy the more brosteppy tunes he was playing, more like subzee d tunes.
hatcha was good in places, mixing was on point mostly. played a few old dubs and older tunes that went off, a few old artwork tunes went off, left when he was playing the stuff he plays nowadays.
nice to have pokes back on mic duty, man can't be touched, when he introduced hatcha was jokes.
will give it another try if they get in rc1 and lower the number of people allowed in, think they need to address heat in there too but can't see how?

^agree mate its not the same as System but i think sound is the biggest issue. I could find some spaces round by the edges to dance when the main dance got too crushed with ppl and if the rig wasnt so shit that it was unpleasant to stand next to it wouldve been alright.
Also some of those tunes just fall flat on a weak sound, Goat Stare was underwhelming to say the least & some tunes ive heard 100s of times are a bit meh when you're not getting scanned off by the RC1/Void/System w/e

enjoyed it still, flashes of it reminded me of old days at Mass. System lacked appropriate DMZ weight but considering it was going to be cancelled and you to got to see that standard of lineup for free...it wasn't that bad if you found a good spot. Pokes commanded impeccably on the night and crowd reaction for certain tunes was electric.
Over rammed but what did you expect? DMZ Brixton homecoming was never gonna be deadout. Hopefully that and the heat will put some of the moshers and attitude off next time.
Mala fully knows what needs to be done for the next one, and will deliver. Living in Belgium and running a dance in Brixton- give the man the benefit of the doubt. Venues are difficult enough as it is to work with. Looking forward to the next one.

yeah. Also if you want to keep it in Brixton you have:
Brixton Electric
Brixton Jamm
Plan B
Club 414
O2
and a variety of barclubs but nothing that could really deal with it. Maybe the dogstar if it was down stairs with a proper system and then obv PoW which is a midsized club
everything else is either massive or 200 tops
