The Bug - Blaow (Featuring Daddy Freddy) is probably my fav tune by Bug this year.



Firstly.. in no way does this tune feel like a knock off, or copying, but its hard to compare it to Loefah without giving that impression. The similarities are undeniable but Epoch made it his own, absolute killer tune.

Vast majority of Lion Charge would feature in my top list as well. Phrex - Drumworks as well.

Yeah Epoch's been on fire lately, wanted to add Aerospace to my list of fave 140 tunes of the year. And yesterday I gave a new listen to Minus 4, hadn't really clicked on that one before, but bwoy it does go HARD! Deffo gotta play this one more often.

Another one I have to mention for 2014, Karma - Meanings. Personal fave ever since the first listen. I'm currently waiting for the Back To Chill CD comp to be delivered, couldn't refrain from buying the Japanese version as they still haven't announced anything about the ROW release. It's taking a looong time to arrive though

Mala-wise, gotta say I'm a bit underwhelmed by Torn At The Roots. Sure I love minimal stuff, but this one sounds a bit too empty to me... Probably needs to be heard on a system to really click on it.

For me personally, Your Eyes- LAS is my fave of the year. Standout track on a very very good EP.

Although it has been an excellent year for our movement, some really creative sounds, and boundaries pushed.

Silkie- Limits/ Bird in The Sky was another fave release for 2014.

i think all in all, there's been some pretty decent dubstep released this year. a slow but steady trickle. Innamind have pretty much led, they should probably be given recognition ahead of deep medi this year. all the obvious choices like kahn, gantz, las Thelem etc have released some wicked tunes. dj madd and some others have put out some strong dub-leaning dubstep. theres also a lot of big tunes that are basically dubstep in every way apart from the tempo, and with that in mind my favourite tune is probably Facta - Loveless.

Tune of the year for me.
