If just ripping cds I use mp3 as I have the originals anyway though and I'm putting them on my phone most likely. Never go under 320kbps ever for any purpose. Only deal with that with shit like datpiff or streaming things
Pioneer don't recognise FLAC, I think anyway, don't wanna risk it as I don't have 2000s at home to check, I might start buying AIFFs, fuck WAVs and their inability to hold data, whatever that's called

the only things i have music on are my computer and phone, on computer storage obvs isn't an issue but on my phone it is.

i really couldn't tell the difference between 320 and wav on any of the things i listen to music on at home so it's not worth the effort of converting from wav to 320 just to fit on my phone.

if i started playing out i would probs think about using wavs tho

I'm guessing none of the reasons for Wolf collecting VHS could apply to
mp3's though.

usually just buy and rip shit at 320, except some non-electronic shit i get off bandcamp which i keep in standard vbr cause honestly i don't need flacs of some crust punk/black metal demos

can't tell the difference between 320 and flac/wav so idc. already pushing towards the 2nd external hdd

WAV where i can, but generally mp3's at the minute whilst i get everything sorted with my new laptop and hard drive. I cant tell the difference at all, but wav's are more reliable to play out in my experience

MP3's wear out just like cassettes do. They are lossy and they are always losing shit.

anything highbrow and obscure or very low brow and obscure is very welcome

I love finding weird as fuck stuff, horror, exploitation, anything not on dvd still, anything grimey or ridiculous. stupid rip offs or cash ins (have luck finding brucesploitation bits actually) , low budget action/fantasy, art films that have somehow ended up in charity shops and even stupid stuff like VHS games, video magazines. niche interest stuff.

Or just good films for dirt cheap.

So generally if it's not boring I'd genuinely be interested.

Side note: Sending drum tracks to VHS tape is sick imo, use the technique on almost all my tunes haha
