I'm not blaming London, I afforded a decent lifestyle for years living there, just decided to save a bunch by moving back home for a bit. Just commenting on the fact its v expensive place to live and a proper rat race for many to just keep a standard 1 bed flat and keep your head above water financially vs somewhere like Bristol which doesn't have the same stress.

Yeah i've given up on London for the moment, ridiculously expensive.

Birmingham is very reasonable, can get an alright 1 bed flat in a decent area bills and council tax included for about £6-700 a month.

poor choices imo. I live wit my gf as a student but it's nothing like student life lol it's a grown people apartment

It's good to switch things up every now and then. Few years living with other people, few years alone. With 6 month tenancy agreements being more common these days it's pretty easy to stay on your own for a while till a mate or two you think you can bear to live with decide they want to get a place together.

I moved back in with my parents after @23 years of living out and about…
I have a "mother-in-laws suite" so that makes it - just slightly easier…

I'm here for 2 reasons.
