Well actually you don't really get trouble when selling less than X amount,
but i think the law states you just can't sell it (whatever number)

Yeah, it's a myth people like to lean on to justify not paying for the samples.
Every sample has be cleared with the copyright owners, no matter how small the pressing, or short or hidden the sample.
Low pressings just mean you might get away with not being found out. But the pressing factories shouldn't be pressing without a clearing licence from the MCPS so it's all a bit effed up.
Undercounter culture is essential, but the MCPS are getting hot on it, lemme tell you. I mean, even MCPS employees can join forums you know
