i'll admit that i'm car crazy. been that way all my life since i was a boy. i had a jeep wrangler back in my uni days and drove it till the tranny blew. i've owned motorcycles recently, as i live in a huge city and parking has become madness now.

this year, i'm looking to find a hobby car though. one that needs a bit of work. get my hands dirty and all that.

i'd kill to have any of these.

citroen ds 21 pallas. 1971

jaguar mark X or a Jaguar 420s. Back when they were still made in coventry.

Safe seckle mate,

I used to have a Citroen Pallas. Bit of a nightmare, the bastard thing was continually going wrong!!!!! Air suspension kept getting stuck in the down mode, scraping on the ground. You'll defo be getting your hands dirty if you get one of them!!!

As for the monteverdi, a fine choice, Sir. A proper old school mafioso ride

'69 alfa coupe is a hot pick too!!!!!! one of my faves

I'll not get into MY wants list here though, I'd be going on for ages..

ha! that's crazy bro! i've been reading up on the DS's. all the sites say the same thing. the springs and airsuspension are a nightmare. one guy was on the highway and the thing went into park mode. lol . left a trail of sparks for nearly a mile. the other problem for the pallas's is that citroen closed up their american division int he 80's, so if i ever got one i'd be paying import duty on all the parts. there's a guy in california that's converting the pallas's into ford parts, with a ford engine block too, but it costs a fortune. still, though...the pallas is the badman car. years ahead of its time in terms of design and ergonomics.

the monteverdi is murda! the grill and hood alone!

i was bidding on a bertone 1970 in mint condition on ebay last year, and got beat out by someone with deep pockets.

like you, i could be here for days with old cars. lol 8)

do a search for "crown victoria police" on ebay.

you can get used police cars for $2k. these are ford interceptors with the police packages still installed. so you get a v8 4.6liter turbocharged engine block! you could go neck and neck with nearly anything on the road. these police cars are good deals because you can trust that they've been well inspected and looked after, as police dept's have to have them in top shape for insurance reasons.

i have a friend that has this same car with the crash guards, spotlight, siren and loudspeaker in tan. it's a mad one because he rolls around in brooklyn with it, and everyone thinks he's a cop. lol

I have to say I'm in love with the 2002 tii, one of the most beautiful cars ever produced in my eyes. If I ever have good reason to have a car again then I shall be getting a e30 320is or 325i.

My brother in law has the second alfa in on that pic seckle, the one next to the white one you're after. It's absolutely mint and one of only 2 right hand drive ones made I believe.

2002!!! it's such a beauty! very hard bidding on those these days because of the near rabid status that 2002's have in japan. it's massive there. japanese bidders will buy up all the parts they can find on ebay and have them freighted over to japan. they have clubs over there where they sort of pool all the spare parts together to keep the clubs cars running. madness.
you can find a few here in north america, but most are project cars...blwon tranny, blown engine, etc.

tell your brother in law to never let go of the AR. they've become very collectable again, as you can get a lot of the old parts from aftermarket shops.

the 2002 is a nice one also

here seckle if you're ever over in the UK in very late august/1st september there is this big classic cars event at goodwood race track called the goodwood revival, i got some fake tickets last year ( fucking bargain!!) and managed to get in, full of fucking toffs but some absolutely divine motors about, and they have races too!! i tell you though the crashes were horrendous to watch, this guy totalled a car he had spent years (and probably millions of pounds) restoring right in front of us, all that gone in a split second mistake!

I drive a 89' Nissan Pulsar Vector... It's barely still on the road, sounds like its running on steam and the brakes squeal like a bitch. Love it tho
