i guess i should of said some drugs are bad. those that have no beneficiary properties, to one self or to society.
The positives that come out of the existence of those drugs are that they get you absolutely mullered in the most unbelievable way. I'm not suggesting that that outweighs the negatives that come from the existence of such drugs, nor am I saying that drug abuse is good. Some people really like getting out of their tree from time to time, puts things in perspective somewhat.

Advantages of Smoking Weed:
Because it speeds up your heart rate, some studies have suggested that being stoned is as good for your heart as going to the gym. Also probably quite good for losing weight as it speeds up your metabolism (as long as you can resist the munchies). However, there are down sides too....

I can't ever see that as being good. When i feel mullered, i feel like total and utter shit. Not something want to bring on myself at a time when i am suppose to be having fun.
I see a lot of people at events these days on all sorts of stuff. i think to myself seriously, is what ever you done worth you sitting in bed with glasses on poppin panadol for the rest of the day once you woke up for a 30min buzz?

to be perfectly honest i'm not that pro drugs anymore. used to love them but i just don't think they're for me anymore (not all the time anyway). but having said that i wouldn't say they're bad, they've certainly shaped the person i am now (which some of you would probably say is a good advert against drugs

). time and a place and all that

have to agree with you on this, that's pretty much my view nowadays. if you go to a night where you're going to enjoy the music and the company then there's no better accompaniment than alcohol. but so many people seem to go out for the sake of drugs, rather than to enjoy the music or company or whatever. remember there was a really good article on this by charlie broker - people enjoy drugs, not clubbing. not saying there's no place at all for drugs though

A wise man once said...
"I saw Grand and he said that the DMZ 3rd birthday was 'ok', but from what you lot tell me it was an almost spiritual experience... ergo, drugs are good"
I'm not saying that they are good, or that everyone should like them, but it's rather like telling someone who believes in the resurrection, holy trinity and eternal life that it's not any good. ie: Pointless, they KNOW it's good from their personal experience.

regardless what ever you lot may think... there no damn excuse for it, you wait until one of your mates passes out and doesn't wake up. then you'll agree.

I think for some people the fact that they are on drugs can heighten their mood and they will get further enjoyment from the music or whatever it is they're doing. Having said that, it's pretty fucked up when people do far more than they can handle and end up sitting dribbling in a corner somewhere.
I think that in moderation, drugs can be a good thing. If done on 'special occasions', I think day long come-downs, the 'Tuesday blues' and all that stuff can be avoided, but maybe that's just me. Personally, I haven't touched them for a while now, but I am in no way ruling out doing them ever again.

So pleasure is not an excuse for it or to experience a heightened sensual experience no excuse
I doubt very much that dubstep would exist without drugs

it's basically up to personal opinion but it's better to have an opinion based on experience rather than blind assumptions. it's more a case of "just say know" rather than "just say no"

i agree. A lot of producers have written some pretty sick tracks, but most of the guys i know who do drugs and write beats on a proper level puff. still no excuse. if you need to take a substance to enable you to enjoy something then you shouldn't be there, it really isn't for you. your minds not with it, so taking a substance to alter your bodies chemistry to force to get into it.. well... enough said...
and i wish the ever popular use of them in dubstep now day's ceased. Funni though how many girls i see doing cocaine. especially in FWD>>, weird...can't get my head around it.

cocaine does seem to be a very female drug. possibly largely due to the fact that so many women seem to have self-confidence issues, but maybe i'm talking shit

fine stanton, we are all entitled to our opinion not going to beef anyone about it. i do find it funni how people put in place an argument for something that has no benefits for society. i guess when your on cocaine or you have taken some E you can be up all day.

I really don't think that any of the people on here do need to do that, I enjoyed listening to a Walsh set on my way into work this morning after taking nothing but a cup of tea.

prik. have you not noticed that far more women tend to use coke as a crutch, rather than a tool (like a lot of other drugs). maybe that's just in my circle of friends...

it is a fashionable drug.
