Tapir, a long time friend of Subtrak owners, has been a drum & bass
connaisseur for many years, and now has dove in to the realm of
dubstep. His five track EP brings some of the dirtiest and most technical
beats to the genre, sure to ignite bassbins from here to Bristol. Each
track is unique, while at the same time pays homage to the distinct style
that has been sweeping across the globe with untouchable fury.
Rounding out the EP is a pristine dub-techno remix from Christian Bloch.
Much in the style of Basic Channel and Maurizio, Bloch reworks the title
track in to a beast of a remix.

Feedback...
"Overall - solid release! Earth is brutal - one for the end of the party, and love the use of the Amen break in it. S7 has a brilliant intro, and I love the dub flavour sounds. Big one here! The dub techno remix, while not my style, definitely captures the feeling of the original and reworks it beautifully." - Marcel, Genetic.Krew, Germany
"I really like this release - very different and bringing some new originality to the style. Quality!" - Stephen McKenna, Slick-DJ Magazine, Ireland
"Good and different material - cool to hear a whole EP of half-time beats with dark production. Earth is my favorite...I like how it builds quite a bit." - QBurns Abstract Message
"Christian Bloch's remix sounds great - nostalgic dub techno at its best!" - Eddie Krilov of Alka_Rex, NYC

Solace is a prostitute with a heart of gold. Jamie Lee Curtis's character in the 1983 hit film 'Trading Places' was based on Solace. Many say that this was one of Jamies finest roles on the silver sceen but i think we all know in our heart of hearts that it was 'True Lies' where she really showed what she was made of.
Jaime was born in November 1958 and stared in such films as 'Halloween', 'The Fog' and 'A Fish Called Wander'.
Jaime died during the remake of 'BMX Bandits' in 2007 and will be greatly missed.

Heavy meckling dubstep on Aphex recordings from bright spark Soi. 'Brokah' displays Soi's well honed production skills with a hard stepping wobblers cut taking place around bone hard snares and snarling mid rangey subs, while 'Umpuajir' comes from the Distance school of dubstep with a gnarly metal riff hacked over some killer beat patterns and a very strange breakdown warranting some closer attention. Check!
